I would like to mention that Navassa Isle or Navassa Island or Navassa or La Navase or Navase near Haiti is a possession of the Republique of Haiti. It is being occupied by the USA. As far as I know, The Republique of Haiti has never relinquished its sovereignty nor its rights over that portion of its territory. Please do some research.

However, The Republique of Haiti and The USA enjoy excellent friendly relations.
