I'm having second thoughts about the spelling here. Any thoughts - 'y' or 'i'? --Wayne 21:16, 22 januare 2007 (UTC)

There are words with "ei" which can be pronounced as a diphthong like "kaleidoskope" and "peine". The only word in NL which has the diphthong "ey" (as opposed to "ey" with consonantal y) is "mey". So I think in words like "Beijing" both spellings are legitimate. Beyjing looks strange to me so I prefer Beijing. Nov ialiste 08:27, 23 januare 2007 (UTC)
